Chef and Owner Erik Peacock grew up around the food business. An early exposure to the food business, paired with the beautiful bounty of the Niagara food and wine region, shaped Erik’s future as a chef. After spending time in Australia Erik returned to Ontario where he attended George Brown College in Toronto for Culinary Arts. Upon his return, the wine and food scene in Niagara was emerging. This opportunity delighted Erik. He formed relationships with winemakers and winery owners as well as local food producers who inspired Erik to create a menu focused on local ingredients infused with international flavours.
Today, along with Erik you will find his son Jarrod managing the front of house at both Wellington Court and their sister location at Henry of Pelham Winery - The Shorthills Kitchen. Jarrod also spends time behind the bar creating seasonal and inspired cocktail menus.
